Urinalysis: What Foods To Avoid

CTCBlog

While enrolled in a substance use treatment program, most people will be required to take urine screens or breathalyzers, often with little or no notice. Many foods, drinks, and other items can result in what is known as a “false positive” on these tests, a positive result that occurs when a screening detects the presence of an illicit or prohibited substance, even though the person has not actually consumed it. Despite being “false,” treatment programs and law enforcement have to treat them just as seriously as they would any other positive, and so avoiding them is vital to be successful in your program.
